Tyler Duncan learned the fundamentals of marksmanship and safe firearms handling early on in life from his Grandpa, and Uncle, through outdoor sports hunting for large and small game. After some years, Tyler then enlisted in the United States Marine Corps in 2008. Graduating boot camp as Squad leader and SOI (School of Infantry) as Guide. Tyler earned two meritorious promotions before joining the fleet, for his Fieldcraft and Marksmanship skills. Tyler was stationed on Camp Lejeune, NC with 2nd Battalion, 2nd Marine Regiment as a Riflemen. Tyler worked up and then deployed to Afghanistan, Helmand province for 7 months in 2009. After returning home in 2010, Tyler volunteered to join his battalions STA (Surveillance and Target Acquisition) platoon. He trained up and deployed for 11 months with the 22nd MEU (Marine Expeditionary Unit) in 2011 on the USS Bataan, an LHD-5 amphibious assault ship. Tyler spent some time on Liberty ports in Spain, Italy, Greece, and Dubai; although the vast majority of the time was spent training in Djibouti Africa and Rhoda Spain. Returning home Tyler separated from active service in 2012. In late 2013 Tyler became an RSO (Range Safety Office) for West Coast armory, and an Instructor in 2015. Tyler carries credentials through the NRA to instruct pistol and rifle.
